Terms of Use

1. Agreement
These Terms govern your use of the ThisScan app (the “App”) provided by ORANGE CORP LIMITED (“we”). By installing or using the App you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use the App. Apple’s standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies.
2. The service
The App scans QR codes, barcodes and Data Matrix, detects their type and offers actions (open a link, call, message, join Wi‑Fi, add a contact or event, and so on), keeps a history, and creates QR codes. Codes are third‑party content. We do not verify links or data encoded in codes you scan; open them at your own discretion and be cautious with unknown sources.
3. Account
An account is optional and used only to sync your history across devices. You are responsible for keeping your credentials secure and for activity under your account. You may delete your account at any time in the App (Settings › Account › Delete account).
4. Premium subscriptions
Some features (cloud sync, QR creation, advanced actions) require a Premium subscription purchased through the App Store:
- Weekly — $7.99 per week, with a 3‑day free trial for new subscribers;
- Monthly — $19.99 per month;
- Yearly — $69.99 per year.
Prices are in USD; the App Store shows local pricing and taxes. Payment is charged to your Apple ID at confirmation of purchase. Subscriptions renew automatically at the same price and period unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. The free trial converts to a paid weekly subscription unless cancelled before it ends; any unused portion of a trial is forfeited when you buy a subscription. Manage or cancel in iOS Settings › Apple ID › Subscriptions. Refunds are handled by Apple under App Store rules.
5. Acceptable use
Do not use the App to break the law, infringe others’ rights, distribute malicious codes, or attempt to disrupt or reverse‑engineer the service. We may suspend accounts that violate these Terms.
6. Intellectual property
The App, its design and trademarks belong to ORANGE CORP LIMITED. You receive a limited, non‑exclusive, non‑transferable licence to use the App on Apple devices you own or control. Content you scan or create remains yours.
7. Disclaimer
The App is provided “as is”. We do not warrant uninterrupted or error‑free operation, or that every code will be recognised, and we are not responsible for the content of third‑party codes or the sites and services they lead to.
8. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim related to the App is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses.
9. Termination
You may stop using the App at any time. We may terminate or suspend access for breach of these Terms. Sections that by their nature should survive (IP, disclaimers, limitations) survive termination.
10. Changes
We may update these Terms; material changes will be announced in the App or on thisscan.com. Continued use after the effective date means acceptance.
11. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which ORANGE CORP LIMITED is registered, without regard to conflict‑of‑law rules, unless mandatory consumer law in your country provides otherwise.
